Effective October 1, 2011, the OEF/OIF provision for retroactive TSGLI will be removed. What this means is that any member injured between Oct. 7, 2001 and Nov. 30, 2005 can now receive the TSGLI benefit if they had a qualifying injury, regardless of where their injuries occurred. Continue reading
Tax Exempt Status Pulled by IRS. Some posts were advised that their tax exempt status was pulled for failing to file IRS Form 990 for the the last three tax years. This was an automatic action. Affected posts received several notices to comply and a warning in June. It happened in July and affects three district posts. Continue reading
American Legion Chapel Hill Post 6 has again made their post home available to the community through the East Chapel Hill Rotary for their Teachers’ Supply Store program.
