American Legion Chapel Hill Post 6 has again made their post home available to the community through the East Chapel Hill Rotary for their Teachers’ Supply Store program. Robert Oakes, past post commander and member of the East Chapel Hill Rotary, served as coordinator for this annual project.
One of the core values of the American Legion is service to our youth. Chapel Hill reports that they are proud to be able to provide their post for a special community service event to help local teachers. Personal sacrifices by teachers, such as personally purchasing school supplies, to provide an excellent education for their students benefits our youth
