The NC Department, American Legion, mails out information about what is going on in the state to each post. It is in an envelope clearly marked “It’s Not Top Secret.”
The State Adjutant does this to remind the recipients to share the information with all members of the post. This is the only way we can maintain an informed membership. The same information is also posted on the state’s website at http://nclegion.org
Have you visited this site? I has a wealth of information to help you learn more about the American Legion. Why not visit it today?
Below is an image of the state website header expanded to show the content of the Monthly Mailing. Just click the Monthly Mailing tab and it will expand to show a listing of all past and current mailings. Highlight or click on the month desired and the content is displayed.
There is nothing secretive about the business of the American Legion, hence the phrase “It’s Not Top Secret.” Visit the state site often and keep informed, then call a friend without a computer and share what you have found. If you find a topic of interest, volunteer to promote or chair that project in your post.
Do your part to promote American Legion programs and activities by spreading the word.
