Our Post year is also most closed and we will be electing new officers and preparing for our new year. How about preparing our new officers? Our success depends greatly upon our grasp of who we are as a War Veterans organization. We need to prepare our future officers for their new roles and get them off to Legion College in July.
Now is the time to start thinking about what is needed to be successful in your new post year. There is the budget, programs, website updates, recognition of member support and performance, and growth initiatives. While you thinking about those topics, why not flex your leadership skills by taking a look at what others are doing to be successful. Sometimes we can gain a lot if insight and inspiration from others who are strong communicators.
Building a better and stronger Post starts with openness, cooperation, sincerity, and communication. Here are some thoughts from those that are successful at communicating, as reported in the Harvard Business Review.
Transparency is the New Leadership Imperative; Dori Clark
Be Proud of Your Accomplishments, Not Your Affiliations; Daniel Gulati
