Montford Marines Banquet

To celebrate the one year anniversary of the Montford Point Marines receiving the Congressional Gold Medal, is planning a Banquet/Awards ceremony. The Montford Point Marines are African Americans who joined the Marine Corps from 1942 to 1949.  They are from Burlington, Greensboro, Eden, Raleigh and Durham. Mr. Dewey Millner of Reidsville, NC will be awarded the Congressional Gold Medal by Major General Cornell Wilson at the banquet.
