It is with great sadness that we learned today that fellow Legionnaire and Past State Commander Jerry L. Hedrick died on Monday, August 25, 2014. He was attending the American Legion National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina. Jerry was 67.

Jerry Hedrick was a national executive committeeman with the American Legion and past state commander for 1987-88. He also championed many of the significant programs and events in North Carolina including the American Legion World Series in Shelby and the National Convention 2014 in Charlotte. A funeral will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Coggins Memorial Baptist Church located at 1306 S Main St, Lexington, NC 27292. Directions
Burial is at the Salisbury National Cemetery on Friday, August 22nd, at 10 a.m. Directions
