A lot of work goes into a successful project. A lot of work also goes into failing projects, too. What makes the difference? Planning.
No project or program happens without some level of planning. It is the mastering of the project plan that makes it successful.
Consider a Post Awards Dinner or major event. You have to select a chairman, assemble information, and then create a plan of action.
When do you start? Who do you contact? Who does what? What was done last year? New chairmen, post commanders and officers face these questions all the time.
What about post maintenance? Post clean-up or painting projects take resources, funds, and needs people, and must be done by a certain date. A project plan is your guide.
Take a look at Project Planning under Helpbox. Learn more about taming and controlling a post project.
