District Commander Donald R. Bush received recognition from the Department of the Army via a joint personal letter from both The Honorable Pete Geren, Secretary of the Army, and General George W. Casey, Jr., U.S. Army, Chief of Staff.
The letter said, “… As a tribute to your service in the U.S. Army, The American Legion Department of North Carolina has recognized you for this special Freedom Team Salute Commendation. It is our honor to bestow it and the enclosed Army lapel pin to you. The Commendation symbolizes the partnership between our Army, Her Soldiers, their Families, and Veterans–a partnership as old as the Nation itself. …”
Congratulations Don! We appreciate your active and continued service to our Nation as an Army Veteran and member of the American Legion.
