District Meeting – 7 May 2022

“Yeah! We are excited about our District Meeting! This has been a great year for District 12! Although our membership numbers aren’t what we hoped to be, but our teams has been consistent about building our district. We thank you for your continued support as we press toward becoming the best district that we could possibly be.

And, hold on, it is time to bask in the glow of membership success within the American Legion! National has advised that “Membership is on track for the first year of growth since 2010.” We are proud of the hard membership work within District 12. As a reminder, we would like to invite all post officers and post members to attend our last district meeting of the fiscal year. We have exciting things planned for you! Encourage motivated post members to attend their district meetings to help build an ever stronger Department of North Carolina.

We will meet at Mebane Post 95 located at 503 W. Clay Street, Mebane, NC 27302 at 11am on Saturday, May 7th. WE need every post to be ready to give a report of their accomplishments and your future goals.

This is also the meeting where we get to elect your next District Commander and Vice Commander. We need your support!  We also need all posts adjutants or Commanders to call District Commander Atwater with a head count of the number of members that plan to  attend. This is very important so that we will have enough food prepared..
