Chapel Hill Post 6 was the first post chartered in North Carolina. Its history dates back to the summer of 1919. That is 92 years of history and support of veterans in our state.
The post home is in the second Chapel Hill building. The first was built in downtown Chapel Hill on Rosemary Street, now the site of Bank of America building. It is the largest post site in North Carolina with over 30 acres of land. Much of it is wooded. There is also a large pond stocked with Blue Gill, Bream, and other fish.
